204 Squadron Presentation Tankard

Engraved to the front to F/O Armitstead 204 Squadron from "Spotter" June '39 - to December '40. 204 Squadron RAF Coastal Command were equipped with Sunderland flying boats in 1939. We have managed to trace F/O John Royds Armitstead service no. 33378 who had been promoted an A/FLt. by 1941 and still serving with 204 Squadron, was awarded a DFC on 25th April, 1941. The tankard is stamped Unity Pewter & English Make. The base has had a slight ding but it makes a fine souvenir with known provenance. Measures 5" (13 cm).
