Luftwaffe Parachute Remnant
Mounted in a glazed frame is a small section of parachute with a typed label which is attached to a section of partly painted alloy stating 'Part of a German parachute from an enemy crewmember of a Heinkel bomber which crashed on April 28th 1941 after a raid on Portsmouth.' Above the label is a photograph of a Luftwaffe pilot at the controls of his aircraft. Sadly we have no other provenance with this item. Frame measures 12" x 9.5" (31 cm x24 cm).
