RNAS WWI Trinket Box - Click for the bigger picture SoldRNAS WWI Trinket Box - A period box made from a first World War laminated propeller. Inscribed on base "George Hale Royal Naval Air Service August 1917 - April 1918. Royal Air Force April 1918 - November 1919. Landed in France 4th November 1917. Left France 15th October 1919." Included with this item is a British War Medal and Ribbon engraved 236616.2. A.M. G. Hale RAF, together with two carved pendants which were found inside the box. An interesting item for further research.

USAF Upper Heyford Commemorative Mug - Click for the bigger picture SoldUSAF Upper Heyford Commemorative Mug - Manufactured by Royal Worcester in fine porcelain and named to 20th Tactical Fighter Wing with transfer crest to centre. On the reverse are listed 56th, 77th and 79th Tactical Fighter Squadrons and the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron. In perfect condition. 9.5 cm.

RAF Wings Sign - Click for the bigger picture SoldRAF Wings Sign - Painted on a large wooden board and set against an Air Force blue background. We have no provenance with this item but it makes a very strong statement and is just waiting to go back on the wall in the mess! 98 cm x 36 cm.

RAF B type Helmet - Click for the bigger picture SoldRAF B type Helmet - Fitted with receiver cups in excellent original condition inside and out. While this helmet is marked size 1, it fits more like a size 3. Clear AM and King's Crown stamp to lining. A very clean example of this classic Battle of Britain period helmet.

WWII German Binoculars - Click for the bigger picture SoldWWII German Binoculars - Dienstglas 6x30. Manufactured by Dswarowski (maker's code cag) in military tan paint finish (some rubbing). Complete with rain guard and leather strap. These binoculars were capable of operation at minus forty degrees centigrade to plus fifty degrees centigrade. Lacking case.

Private Pilot's Flying Helmet - Click for the bigger picture SoldPrivate Pilot's Flying Helmet - In the style of the RAF G pattern but manufactured in soft brown leather with fabric lining. Fitted with receivers and NATO wiring loom and appears to be size 3 or 4. A very comfortable period style helmet, ideal for open cockpit/vintage flying. Near mint condition.

Civilian Flying Helmet - Click for the bigger picture SoldCivilian Flying Helmet - Manufactured by Burberry of London. Finished in black leather with provision for Gosport tubes (not fitted). Unusual chin strap which fastens over the top of the helmet. Probably dates to 1930's. Some scuffing to leather, medium size. A true collector's helmet dating to the classic period for private flying.

Wartime Tail Wheel and Tyre - Click for the bigger picture SoldWartime Tail Wheel and Tyre - understood to be ex-Spitfire. Stamped AH05779.1 on hub with AM and King's Crown on the static conducting tyre. Good issued condition.

RAF Fire Screen - Click for the bigger picture SoldRAF Fire Screen - Hand embroidered on linen with RAF Crest and Kings Crown to centre with naive Aircraft and RAF Logo to each corner named to Malta, Gibraltar, Alexandria and Cairo. The screen is dated 1939 - 1945, below which is mounted an RAF Medal Ribbon. 61 cm x 37 cm. Very bright colours and no moth.

303 Squadron Model Spitfire - Click for the bigger picture Sold303 Squadron Model Spitfire - Mounted on stand with wooden base which is stamped "Kosciusko Sqd 303 Sqd R.A.F. Newton 1943". 303 was a Polish Squadron formed at Leconfield in July 1940 and its pilots fought with distinction during the Battle of Britain. Theatre made from aircraft alloy. 15 cm wingspan.

Cast in resin from a mould taken from the real thing. Originals are getting almost impossible to find and very expensive, so this makes a nice display item in the meantime!
